About
Hi, Iโm Venish. ๐
I sit at the intersection of large-scale infrastructure engineering and hands-on software craftsmanship.
For nearly a quarter-century, I have led Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Enterprise Observability teams tasked with protecting mission-critical production environments for top-tier financial institutions. My focus is on transforming operational cultures, gaining deep visibility into complex systems, and driving modern infrastructure automation and AI adoption.
Operating at this scale teaches you a lot about failure modes, system architecture, and what it actually takes to keep software reliable and observable.
This website is an independent technical journal where I document my personal side projects, hobbyist explorations, and the tools I experiment with. It serves as a creative workspace for my self-hosted systems and the technical notes I take along the way.
๐ ๏ธ Technical Expertise
Throughout my career, I have worked across a diverse array of enterprise platforms, languages, and frameworks. This is a snapshot of the core technologies, tools, and methodologies that shape my approach to engineering:

๐ Currently Exploring
Outside of my enterprise work, I use my personal environment to experiment with emerging technologies. Right now, I am actively focusing on:
- Self-Hosted AI Infrastructure: Building and orchestrating a local GPU cluster to run open-weights models, alongside training and fine-tuning LLMs with custom datasets.
- Intelligent Home Automation: Enhancing and integrating my self-hosted applications and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) setups with residential automation systems.

โ Beyond the Code
When Iโm not staring at a code editor or analyzing system logs, you can usually find me:
- ๐ธ Capturing Stories Through a Lens: Documenting the world through street and architectural photography. I treat editing and composition with the same detail-oriented eye I bring to software craftsmanship, capturing the balance between geometry and raw human moments.
- โ๏ธ Exploring New Horizons: Traveling to new destinations to immerse myself in diverse cultures, local cuisines, and historical architectures.
- ๐ ๏ธ Tinkering in My Homelab: Orchestrating self-hosted applications, testing networking setups, and automating residential hardware. For me, engineering doesnโt stop at the office; itโs a creative workspace where I play with emerging tech just for the fun of it.
